The
President
of the Council
shall have the following functions
|
1. To
nominate the Secretary
General
of the Council.
2. To
approve the composition of the Standing
Committees of the Council and the Branches.
3. To
supervise the good conduct of the work with
the assistance of the Secretary General
or one of the Committees, or whomever members
she chooses for that purpose.
4. To
invite the Council to hold regular or exceptional
meetings, or invite any of the Committees
to meet, in order to discuss urgent or important
matters.
5. To
approve the composition of the Council's
delegations abroad.
6. To
invite whomever she considers appropriate
to benefit from his/her expertise in the
meetings of the Council.
7. To
approve the proposed general budget and
the final financial statement of the Council,
after approval by the Board of the Council.
8. To
formulate comments and suggestions about
the objectives and mandate of the Council.
9. To
approve grants and donations offered to
the Council or to its Branches and different
Committees on the basis of the recommendations
formulated by the Executive Committee.
